József Wágner Csabai Painter

1888 - 1967

Painter. Born in 1888 on May 27 mezőtúri evangelical family. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest. Master: Balló Ede. In 1920 Prize was awarded Békéscsaba city where his career began. Halmos received the 1943 Isidore viable Prize, in 1940 the Hungarian Watercolor and Pastel Painters Association Award. 1945 Mezőtúr settled permanently where he worked as a teacher. Tokay was a member of the artists' colony. Regularly exhibiting artist since 1920. Often included in the Ernst Museum, the National Salon, the Art Gallery Collective exhibitions Between the two world wars. In the 1950s onward it was in Szolnok, Békéscsaba Exhibitions returning participant. Individual exhibitions in the works in 1948 and 1964 Mezőtúr, 1965 Békéscsaba. After death, the Békéscsaba Munkácsy Museum, 1987 staged exhibition works memories 1986 and 1988 szolnoki Damjanich Museum. His works can be found in Békéscsaba, in Szolnok, Debrecen's museum collection.
