Between 1946-51 he studied at the Budapest Academy of Fine Arts, where he was taught by Aurél Bernáth and Róbert Berény. From 1945 he participated in solo exhibitions (Hungarian National Gallery, Technical University, Mednyánszky Hall, Esztergom, etc.) and exhibitions abroad. Between 1951-88 he taught as an associate professor at the Department of Drawing and Form at the Technical University. In the 1960s he made several mural works (mosaics, sgraffito) and worked regularly for magazines. His most important mural works include the mosaic and sgraffito of the Tiszament Chemical Works in Szolnok and the mosaic of the teachers' hostel in Benczúr Gyula Street. After his study trip to Italy in 1963 and then to France, he was always concerned with a single problem, based on the technique used by surrealists (Max Ernst, Simon Hantai) and free drawing: the visionary representation of the 'hidden face of nature', 'the new image of the world'. His most recent works are cosmically inspired visions of landscapes, bordering on abstraction.
