Born in Lower Cubin, his grandfather and father were both well-known premiers who were able to provide for their families. At the age of five, left half-orphaned, he and his family moved to the gypsy hill of Pécskő near Salgótarján, where they lived in a putri they had made themselves. He started painting for real in 1971, at the age of 66, and only had eight creative years. The originality of his work and his individual vision are impressive. His paintings reveal an extraordinary world: many moments of everyday life, fantastic visions and impressions. We can learn from them about the immense cultural heritage, the mysticism, the desire to live and the emotions of a people, the Gypsies. All this is combined in a unique way with Hungarian cultural influences.
